Speaker: Jeff Attwood
I am a Health & Safety Supervisor II with 19 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, supporting both field and office operations. I believe safety is about people—not paperwork.
I began my career as an operator in Vernal, Utah, later transitioning into construction before moving into safety—a path that quickly became my passion. Since then, I’ve focused on building practical, people-centered safety programs that improve how work is performed.
My approach emphasizes proactive, observation-based safety—identifying risks early, encouraging open conversations, and empowering individuals to take ownership of their safety and the safety of others. I’ve collaborated closely with operations, legal, HR, and external partners to strengthen systems, implement safety technology, and mentor developing safety professionals.
I’m passionate about coaching and relationship-building, helping teams understand not just what we do in safety, but why. My goal is simple: protect people, strengthen safety culture, and help others succeed so everyone goes home safe.
